Life Groups

Sundays @ 10:00am Life Groups gather in various places on the campus to study God’s Word, pray together, fellowship together and form friendships. It is a great place to connect with other people of similar ages while growing in their walk with God.  At BVBC, Life Groups are an essential part of building a community of individuals who desire to grow in Christ, get connected, and build relationships.

Men and Women's Bible Study

Men's and Women's Bible studies take place throughout the year.  There are times during the year when Bible studies are held on Wednesdays and other times when they are held on a certain weeknight. It is a great time for men and women to build relationships, and edify one another, while growing together in their walk in Christ  (and occasionally, enjoy fellowship over delicious food!).

Widows Ministry

At Buena Vista Baptist Church, we provide a safe sisterhood community for widows. They are encouraged to promote and recognize their contributions to our church's vision throughout the church body. We strive to help each widow maintain her joy in life and lovingly help her address any existing physical, mental, or spiritual challenges.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT REFRESH

Our weeks can get hectic and Wednesday night is a time to REFRESH and get together in His Word.  We meet at 6:30pm in the Worship Center.  Pastor Wayne usually leads a Bible study either by topic or walking through a book in the Bible.  It is an interactive study that involves participation from the congregation.  On occasion, a special guest speaker is invited to speak, or certain topics are the focus of the evening.

Ministry Teams

Each person has a special gift or skill that can be used to serve God.  Our church has teams for people to do ministry through carpentry skills, teaching abilities, recreational events, etc. If you have a skill and want to use it to reach others, this ministry is designed to accomplish that.

The Center for Hope and Help

The Center for Hope and Help is dedicated to helping those who are in need. It offers free clothing and shoes for all ages, as well as kitchen and household items that are either new or gently used. The center is entirely funded by donations, and all services are provided by volunteers. It is open every 2nd Saturday of the month, or come by appointment. The contact number is (859) 339-1061.
