Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 11:00 am in the main sanctuary. If it’s your first time, we recommend you arrive 10-15 minutes early. This gives you enough time to park, meet some new faces, and find a seat before the service begins.
We typically begin with music and a warm welcome time. We read scripture together, pray together, give together, and sing a few worship songs. Our music is usually a combination of contemporary worship songs and some traditional hymns. Song lyrics are projected on monitors so you can sing along and engage with worship.
The main focus of the worship service is the preaching and teaching of God’s Word by Pastor Wayne. We encourage you to bring your Bible and a pencil to take notes. We do provide both for you as well, along with space to take notes. Our weekly worship service typically lasts around 60 minutes.
As part of our weekly services we do take up an offering. If you are a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all the Great work He is doing in their lives and to give back to help continue the work of the church.
Dress
Buena Vista welcomes everyone just as they are. Some people dress up and others dress very casually. We encourage you to come the way that you feel most comfortable.
Childcare
Childcare is available for the duration of the service. Grade School age children participate in Children’s church during this time. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early in order to check-in your child and see where they’ll be cared for while you’re in service. We understand how precious your children are and we take great care to make sure they are in a safe supervised environment.
